U.S. News & World Report has released a new survey that asks Millennials to name their favorite countries. Here’s what that means for travel.

U.S. News & World Report has released a new survey that asks Millennials to name their favorite countries, which could provide insights into top destinations that would appeal to a Millennial traveler.
The data is pulled from U.S. News & World Report’sBest Countries platform, which invited 6,000 Millennials around the world to score nations on criteria ranging from dating culture to career development.
Of most potential interest is the picks for Overall Best Country, which indicates countries that have generally positive associations in the minds of Millennials — associations that could drive travel decisions. Canada led the list of overall best picks, followed by Germany, the United KingdomJapan and the United States
The list of Best Countries to Live could also be of interest, given Millennials’ well-known interest in travel experiences that let them live like a local. Australia scored highest here, followed by Canada, Italy, New Zealand and Sweden
Finally, since a vacation is a fine time for romance, it’s also important for agents to keep in mind the survey’s picks for Best Countries for Dating for Millennials. Those were (in order)Brazil, Italy, Spain, Australia and New Zealand.
